Tuition is based on a minimum of four lessons per month. If a month includes a fifth lesson, families may choose to take the additional lesson and will be charged accordingly.
Automated payments are preferred. Other accepted payment methods may include cash, credit card, or Zelle. Certain payment methods may include a processing fee.
Late payments may be subject to a late fee.
-
A one-time registration fee applies to new students.
Students who discontinue lessons for an extended period and later return may be required to re-register. Returning students are not guaranteed the same teacher or lesson time.
-
Students are allowed up to three cancellations within a three-month period.
Make-up lessons for eligible cancellations are subject to teacher availability and must be arranged through the Tavan Music Academy office.
Any student cancellation beyond the three allowed cancellations within a three-month period will be forfeited, and no make-up lesson or credit will be offered.
Same-day cancellations and no-shows are not eligible for a make-up lesson or credit.
For illness, one sick-day cancellation within a three-month period may be eligible for a make-up lesson, depending on teacher availability.
Emergency situations may be reviewed individually by the Academy.

New Year’s Holiday — December 31 and January 1
Memorial Day — May
Independence Day — July 4
Labor Day — September
Thanksgiving — Thursday and Friday in late November

Families who wish to place lessons on hold during the summer may reserve their current lesson day and time by paying a $50 monthly holding fee.
This fee allows Tavan Music Academy to hold the student’s regular lesson day and time so that lessons may resume in the fall with the same schedule whenever possible.
While every effort will be made to keep the same teacher and lesson time, teacher availability may change during the summer and therefore cannot be absolutely guaranteed.
Families who prefer not to pay the holding fee may discontinue lessons during the summer with no obligation. However, their lesson time and teacher will be released and cannot be guaranteed upon return.
Students returning in the fall after releasing their lesson time will be required to re-register, and a new registration fee will apply.
-
A 30-day written notice is required when discontinuing lessons.
Tuition remains due during the notice period.
-
Tavan Music Academy offers two student recitals each year.
Recitals provide students with a valuable opportunity to perform in front of an audience, build confidence, and celebrate their musical progress.
Participation is strongly encouraged but is not required.
A recital fee of $55 per participating student must be paid before the recital date.
-
Students with a fever, persistent cough, contagious illness, or other significant symptoms should not attend in-person lessons.
Please contact the office as early as possible if your child is ill.
